The Students’ Union (SU) is an organisation led by elected students for the benefit of students.
As a student at the University of Worcester, you are automatically a member of the SU. That means you get a big say in who represents you and how we’re run.
Getting involved with the SU is a great way to make your time at university the best it can be. If you’re looking to make new friends, join a club or society, get involved with fundraising, or enhance your employability skills, the SU is the place to come.
We have three Full-Time Officers, each with different responsibilities, who make sure your voice is heard within the university and to help you make the most out of your time at Worcester.
Liam Lees – Students’ Union President - Liam is the lead representative of Worcester Students' Union and it’s his job to champion the rights, welfare, and diversity of all our students.
Rag Mularczyk – Vice President Education - Rag takes the lead on educational quality issues for the SU and ensures your interests are represented.
Neve Ricketts – Vice President Student Activities - Neve is responsible for sports, societies, TeamWorc Action, and fundraising at the SU.
Being a member of one of our societies is a great way for you to make new friends, unleash hidden talents, find a new passion, or indulge in what you already love. Being part of a society gives you the opportunity to learn new skills, compete, go on trips, win awards, and take on leadership roles.
Sport plays a big role in the student experience, whether you’re playing competitively or just for fun. We have over 30 sports clubs, with more than 40 teams competing nationally in BUCS. The clubs are run by student-led committees and are open for all Worcester students to join.
The Hangar is the place to come on campus to relax and unwind. There’s always something going on, from student-run events to Disco BinGlow to fundraisers. And let’s not forget the always popular Karaoke and Quiz Nights. We also have everything you could ever want from your campus bar – VKs, cocktails, and slush puppies!
